JOB ROLE:           Management Accountant

REPORTING TO:  Finance Manager

DURATION:          Permanent

SALARY:              £45,000 - £50,000 + study support

Handpicked Recruitment is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and growing company who operates in the construction industry. This Management/Financial accountant role has arisen due to the rapid growth our client is enjoying.

Job Role:

• Assist in preparation of consolidated year-end statutory accounts

• Assist in preparation of quarterly management accounts and bank packs

• WIP & Accruals analysis for projects

• Project and investment appraisal

• Maintain the fixed asset register

• Prepayments and accruals

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts

• Review team member's bank/revenue reconciliations 

• Reconcile inter-company transactions

• Prepare tax for review

• Payroll processing for weekly employees (cover only)

• Ad-hoc reporting

 

Whilst the main role involves the above duties the preferred candidate will need to be flexible and willing to get involved at all levels within the accounts team, such as cover periods of leave or to meet deadlines.

Skills Required:

 

• Candidates must have good Excel skills/analytical skills

• ACCA/CIMA qualified

• Confident and able to work on own initiative

• Must have good attention to detail

• Strong communication skills

• Accounting experience in construction or manufacturing  

• Coins software knowledge preferable
